Second Level

In our interactive tour of Plymouth college of art, there are three levels to explore. The second level features four studio spaces. Here the user is ‘loaded’ into the middle of a studio, they can look in every direction. Once in the studios the first thing the user will experience is a spatial sound sphere (Bespoke 3D Sound Engine) that interacts with them as they look around. This becomes a subconscious cue that encourages the user to explore the studio environment. The environment reveals its information depending on what the user is interested in. This works by measuring the gaze time of the user and if it it’s deemed to be long enough focusing on a particular area, then a relevant piece of information will be revealed.
