So far we have used one location to experiment with liveness, immediacy, devising, rapid prototyping and mixed reality in relation to XR storytelling. We have created work from the ground up and crafted new digital tools to help facilitate this.
Virtual reality is such a compelling medium to work in at the moment as it uniquely offers this very holistic approach to creating work. We can build extravagant worlds and give our audience agency through game mechanics.
The next stage of the Megaverse XR Theatre Lab is to set up two locations where the actors and the volumetric scanning stage are in separate locations.
